Information we collect

We collect information you provide and information collected automatically:

• Contact & account details — name, email address, phone number, and password (stored only as a secure hash) when you create an account or place an order.
• Order & shipping details — the products you order, order totals, lot references, and the shipping address you provide.
• Research-use acknowledgment — a record that you confirmed, at checkout, that materials are purchased for laboratory research use only.
• Payment information — processed by our third-party payment provider. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
• Referral attribution — if you arrive through a representative's referral link, we store an identifier so eligible pricing and commission can be applied to your order.
• Review submissions — if you submit a product review, we collect the display name you choose, your rating and written comments, and we associate them with the order that authorized the review.
• Support correspondence — messages you send us, including lot-documentation requests.
• Usage & device data — pages viewed, referring links, and general device/browser information, collected via cookies and similar technologies.

Representatives and affiliates

If you join our representative program, we additionally collect the account and payout details you provide, and we retain records of attributed orders and commissions. Representatives can see the orders attributed to their referral link — including order date, products, order value, and commission — and a limited customer identifier for those orders. Representatives do not receive customer payment details or full shipping addresses.

Reviews are published

Approved reviews are displayed publicly on the relevant product page, together with the display name you choose and the submission date. Your email address is not published. Choose a display name you are comfortable showing publicly. Reviews are moderated before publication, and we may decline or remove a review; see our Terms of Service.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep your cart and session working, to remember referral links so eligible pricing is applied, and to understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect site functionality, including cart and sign-in.

How we use your information

• To process, fulfill, and support your orders.
• To create and secure your account and prevent fraud or abuse.
• To provide customer service and respond to inquiries, including lot-documentation requests.
• To apply eligible pricing and calculate commission when you arrive through a referral link.
• To moderate and publish product reviews.
• To keep records of research-use acknowledgments.
• To send transactional messages (order confirmations, shipping updates, password resets, and review invitations).
• To improve our catalog, website, and operations, and to meet legal obligations.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate — payment processing, shipping and carriers, hosting and database services, and email delivery — and only as needed to provide those services. We may also disclose information when required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

Data retention & security

We retain information for as long as needed to provide our services and to meet legal, tax, and record-keeping obligations — including records of research-use acknowledgments and lot documentation associated with orders. We use administrative and technical safeguards, including hashed passwords, hashed single-use tokens for password resets and review links, and encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Your choices & rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict use of your personal information, and to withdraw consent. To make a request, contact us at support@pepthority.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting. You can opt out of non-essential marketing at any time; we will still send transactional messages relating to your orders. Deleting a published review removes it from display, though we may retain order records we are required to keep.

Children

Our site is intended for adults (18+) purchasing materials for laboratory research use. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a revised “Last updated” date.
